ChinaSF Fundraiser

On November 19, 2019, ChinaSF hosted the 2019 Fundraiser with Liuyishou Hotpot, attracting 100 guests for an authentic Chinese hotpot experience while raising funds critical to support ChinaSF’s mission in job creation through the recruitment and retention of inbound Chinese investment and companies to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Liuyishou is a global Chinese hotpot brand with humble beginnings in Chongqing now with 1,200 locations around the world. ChinaSF partnered with Liuyishou for this year’s annual fundraiser to support the company’s efforts in expanding into San Francisco.

ChinaSF kicked off the event with welcome remarks from our Executive Director of GlobalSF, Darlene Chiu Bryant, thanking everyone for their continued support. San Mateo County Supervisor, David J. Canepa then gave welcome remarks and awarded ChinaSF a Certificate of Commendation. Mayor Diane D. Papan of San Mateo, Mayor Wayne Lee of Millbrae, and Deputy Consul General of The People’s Republic of China in San Francisco, Faqiang Ren also made remarks recognizing the impact of ChinaSF’s continued work in connecting China and the San Francisco Bay Area. Welcome remarks were concluded by Hellen Ran, CEO of Liuyishou - North America, who spoke on continuing Liuyishou’s partnership with ChinaSF.

Our 2019 Annual Fundraiser was a success only because of the support of our event sponsor, Liuyishou Hot Pot. Founded in 2000, the phenomenon began with a single hot pot restaurant on a small street and grew into a franchise of over 1,000 locations throughout the world including China, the U.S., Canada, Dubai, Singapore, Australia, and Japan. The award-winning Liuyishou brand, named #2 on the Top Chinese Hot Pot Restaurants in China in 2015, has an annual gross revenue of over USD570 million.
