Dr. Pinar Yoldas

Infra-disciplinary Architect and an Associate Professor at UC San Diego

Dr. Pinar Yoldas is an award-winning infra-disciplinary architect and an Associate Professor at UC San Diego. She is a Guggenheim Fellow, MacDowell Fellow (2x), Hellman Fellow and a Creative Capital Grantee. Yoldas holds degrees from Duke (PhD), UCLA (MFA), ITU (MS), METU (BArch) and Istanbul Bilgi University (MA). She runs the Speculative Ecology and Bioarch Unit and is the principal investigator at Yoldas Lab. Her work has been shown internationally in over 150 exhibitions including Venice Architecture Biennial, Istanbul Biennial, Istanbul Design Biennial, Nordic Biennial, NAMOC Beijing, Migros Museum, Polyteknikum Moscow and so on. She had her first solo exhibition when she was five years old and she was a medalist in Chemistry Olympics.
