Stockholm, Sweden is one of the world’s top food tech and innovation hubs. Chefs across the region serve as catalysts for change; from the New Nordic Food Manifesto, signed by the most prominent chefs in Scandinavia, to the Solutions Menu, supported by Nordic governments.

GlobalSF’s Nordic Food Innovation Tour will bring 12-15 food and biotech companies and investors from the San Francisco Bay Area to learn, partner, and collaborate with Nordic-based companies and food system innovators.

The Nordic FoodTech podcast spotlights individuals and organizations who are creating the future through food.

Host, Analisa Winther, will be joining the Tour, leveraging her local insights and knowledge of the region to help connect the dots between Northern California and Nordic food tech ecosystems.

San Francisco Bay Area Chefs Joining the Tour

  • Stuart Brioza + Nicole Krasinski

    Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski are the Chefs and Owners of State Bird Provisions, The Progress, and The Anchovy Bar in San Francisco, as well as co-authors of State Bird Provisions: A Cookbook.

    The award-winning State Bird Provisions has introduced a new way of thinking about dining and service. By following their own style, they are driven to consistently provide a unique environment where people can expect interesting food, distinctive wines, and meaningful service. To do this, they remain focused on, support, and respect the foundations of their businesses: their staff and purveyors.

  • Tanya Holland

    Tanya Holland is the Executive Chef and Owner of internationally renowned and beloved Brown Sugar Kitchen and the author of two cookbooks — New Soul Cooking and Brown Sugar Kitchen.

    Chef Tanya is leading the Bay Area - and California - into the future of food through impactful projects including her podcast, cooking show on Oprah's TV network, and Town Fare, her cafe in the Oakland Museum of California.

  • Brandon Jew

    Brandon Jew is the executive chef and owner of Mister Jiu’s, an award winning contemporary Chinese American restaurant in the heart of San Francisco Chinatown. Mister Jiu’s combines the local, seasonal and organic bounty of the Bay Area together with classic Chinese techniques and flavors. His honors include one Michelin star, Bon Appetit #3 Restaurant on Hot 10 2017, SF Magazine Chef of the Year and James Beard nomination for Best Chef West 2018 and 2020.
